ODNR Commits to New Dredging Initiative at Buckeye Lake

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) has committed to a 50 plus year dredge plan at the east end of Buckeye Lake. The plan was initially proposed and championed by Thorn Township representatives. The Buckeye Lake Region Corporation (BLRC), worked with representatives from Thorn Township and Buckeye Lake for Tomorrow (BLT), to facilitate ODNR’s commitment to this critical water quality initiative. The dredging plan will result in significant, positive impacts on agriculture, tourism and economic growth for Thorn Township, Perry County and the entire Buckeye Lake Region.
